MATERIAL DESIGN 3
In the past weeks, we’ve kept our readers informed about the latest updates regarding the interface of the application in the most recent versions of WhatsApp beta for Android. We started by announcing a bottom navigation bar, available in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.6 update. Next, we shared details about the redesigned floating action button and new toggles in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.13.4 update. Lastly, we revealed the introduction of new rounded alerts through the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.14.12 update and rounded menus with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.13.9 version. Initially, these features were limited to a small group of users, but with the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.15.24 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, it appears that many more people are now included in the rollout!
Through this screenshot, you can understand the main changes regarding the new interface of the application. The rounded menus are now available to more users, along with the bottom navigation bar and the new floating action button. In addition, we can confirm that further enhancements to the interface are available with the release of the new rounded alerts and redesigned toggles, which are finally available to more beta testers. About the chats tab and the floating action button, they have been redesigned in this update in order to represent an incoming message bubble, as shown in the attached screenshot.
Thanks to this update, many more users will be able to experiment with the latest improvements to the interface that align with the Material Design 3 guidelines. Although these improvements are now available to an expanded group of beta testers, some users may not yet be able to experience the changes for some reason, even after updating to this version. As a result, we always recommend keeping your WhatsApp version up to date by installing new beta versions from the Google Play Store.
The enhancements regarding the interface by following Material Design 3 guidelines are available to some more testers that install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Google Play Store, and they are rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
