WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.11.4.

In the changelog about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.1.7 update, we have published some important details about a new feature under development: the ability to delete any message for everyone in groups, if you are a group admin.
When the feature is enabled, and you delete an incoming message for everyone in a group, other people will read who deleted the message, and this is what WhatsApp wants to let you know. We can confirm that the feature is still under development on the most recent beta update, but there is something new to show:
As you can see in this screenshot, if you are a group admin and you want to delete a message for everyone in the group, an alert shows up: other group participants will be able to see who deleted the message. Note that WhatsApp is also planning to extend the time in which you can delete a message for everyone: 2 days and 12 hours, available in a future update.
This feature is under development and there is no information about the release date, unfortunately. There will be another changelog on this website when the feature is released on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop!
