WhatsApp keeps working on multi-device, the feature that allows you, in a future update, to use WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp Desktop and Portal without your mobile phone being connected to the Internet.
The latest news about multi-device reported that it won’t be possible to connect a second mobile phone using the first version of multi-device, but thanks to some other tracks found by WABetaInfo, we can imagine that it might be available in the future, due to the fact that WhatsApp is developing a log out option for linked mobile devices.
Today WhatsApp is updating again the section that will be available when multi-device is enabled for your WhatsApp account, pointing out that your messages and calls will be still end-to-end encrypted when using multi-device.
In this screenshot, WhatsApp also confirms that you can use 1 phone only with multi-device using this beta.
This feature will be available in a future update. Mark Zuckerberg and Will Cathcart confirmed to WABetaInfo that it should be available within 2 months.
Stay tuned to discover when multi-device beta is available on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS!
