The global audio player is available on WhatsApp Desktop
The global voice note player has been released on iOS beta some weeks ago, and a new upcoming update is planned to be released on WhatsApp beta for Android to bring the same feature. But in the meantime, WhatsApp is rolling out the global voice note player on WhatsApp Desktop beta.

GLOBAL AUDIO PLAYER
After releasing the ability to pause and resume voice recordings on WhatsApp Desktop beta, WhatsApp is now rolling out a new feature that allows listening to voice notes when you switch to a different chat!
As you can see in this screenshot, when we play the voice note and we switch to another conversation, WhatsApp does not stop playing the voice note and a new audio player bar shows up at the bottom of your chats list. Thanks to this bar, we have control over the voice note by using the playback button and the progress bar indicator helps us understand when the voice note ends.
The feature is available to all beta testers today, so be sure to install the latest WhatsApp Desktop beta.
