WhatsApp is planning to make the chats list very clean and to do that, they need to remove certain UI elements. In particular, they are planning to remove the row where you can open your broadcast lists and create new groups: these options are placed here since years. In reality, you can already create new groups when you tap the button “Start New Chat” at the top right, so there is no issue by removing that row, but what about Broadcast Lists? Let’s see this screenshot that explains the situation:

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is planning to remove “Broadcast Lists” and “New Group” from the chats list in a future update, and there will be a new entry point for “Broadcast” within your contacts list, available when you tap the same button “Start New Chat” at the top right.
Do you like this minor UI change? I really love that, but what’s your opinion? Note that this is planned for a future update and there is not a known release date. It must be said that since this minor UI change is under development, their plans may change before the release of the feature. But we are here for this: when there is news, there will be an update available on this website and Twitter.
