PAUSE AND RESUME VOICE RECORDINGS

We explained that WhatsApp was working on the possibility to pause voice recording for a future update, 1 month ago. Today is the day: WhatsApp is already rolling out this feature!
But before we get excited, we need to understand if the feature is already available for our WhatsApp account, seen that WhatsApp is rolling out this feature for specific beta testers. If you already see voice waveforms during voice recording, you have higher chances to get the feature: just test sending a voice message and, if you see a pause icon, it means the feature is available!

When you tap the pause icon, you will be able to resume recording the voice note again by pressing the new recording icon, so you don’t need to record a new voice note.
If this feature is not available for you, it means that your WhatsApp account has not been selected for testing this option. In this case, there is nothing you can do right now: just wait for a future update.
In addition, more beta testers can now choose the option My Contacts Except in WhatsApp Privacy Settings: if this option is still not visible, it means it will be rolled out for your WhatsApp account later.
