IN-APP SUPPORT

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.7.3 version, an update available in March 2021, we explained that WhatsApp was rolling out a new feature that let users get support from WhatsApp directly from a WhatsApp chat. The same feature was enabled on WhatsApp beta for iOS as well.

Due to some unknown reasons, WhatsApp had to stop providing support right within the app to users, but something is changing today: every time you contact WhatsApp from WhatsApp Settings > Help > Contact Us, WhatsApp may respond to you in a WhatsApp chat again, if you want.
WhatsApp Support chats are always marked with a green verified checkmark, so you always know when it's WhatsApp that's contacting you, so be careful with people that claim to be WhatsApp: you always need to verify if there is the green verified checkmark.
When you contact WhatsApp, some information is shared in order to understand what's wrong with your WhatsApp account, such as your phone number, network information (if you're connected to WhatsApp by using 3G, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi), your WhatsApp and OS versions: this information may help them understand your issue and it's optional.
Even if the screenshot was taken from WhatsApp beta for iOS, WhatsApp is also rolling out the same feature for certain Android beta testers.
