WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2215.0: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for the desktop client through the official beta channel, bringing the version up to 2.2215.0.

NEW MESSAGE REACTIONS
Two weeks ago, we have published an article about a new version of message reactions, under development. This new version lets people react to messages by using new different emojis. In the mentioned article, we posted a screenshot from WhatsApp beta for Android, showing a new plus button but we can finally show something different on WhatsApp Desktop beta:
As you can see in this screenshot, after tapping the reaction button, the emoji picker shows up. This means that thanks to the new version of WhatsApp reactions, we will be able to react to messages by choosing any emoji from the emojis picker! Recently, Will Cathcart has also announced on Twitter the same feature will all emojis and skin-tones to come at a later date and we have finally posted a screenshot.
Since this feature is under development, its appearance and functionality may differ from the feature when it is released. Please check our next changelogs to discover if there is any other change.
This feature will be rolled out to beta testers at a later date, surely after the release of the first version of message reactions that should be released soon as announced by Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook. Be sure to frequently visit our website to discover when!
