WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2209.3: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for the desktop client through the official beta channel, bringing the version up to 2.2209.3.

VOICE WAVEFORMS
After rolling out the ability to pause and resume voice recordings for voice notes on the latest WhatsApp beta for Android updates, WhatsApp is now rolling out another feature for voice notes, but this time it's for the web/desktop platform:
As you can see in this screenshot, voice waveforms now show up in chat bubbles and, after launching a small test for certain users on WhatsApp Desktop beta some time ago, WhatsApp is now expanding their test for some people on the latest stable updates of WhatsApp Desktop as well.
If you don't see voice waveforms for your voice notes, it means the feature is not enabled for your WhatsApp account, but be sure to use the latest update of WhatsApp Desktop since everyone should receive the feature today. Instead, if you do not see voice waveforms for incoming voice notes, it means that who sent you the voice note is using an outdated version of WhatsApp. Finally, after this update, we can consider voice waveforms available for all platforms.
