WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for the Universal Windows Platform app, through the official beta channel on the Microsoft Store, bringing the version up to 2.2216.4.0.

CHAT FILTERS
After releasing the ability to view all your starred messages and a new user interface while placing voice calls in the WhatsApp beta UWP 2.2215.1.0 update, WhatsApp keeps working on new features for the beta app today. In particular, the company is now including a new button in the chats list interface called "chat filter", that's already available for business accounts on WhatsApp Business for Android and iOS:
The new button shows up after installing the latest WhatsApp beta UWP 2.2216.4.0 update to everyone, and it lets users filter their chats. There are 4 filters available right now:
- Unread: all your unread chats will show up after selecting this filter.
- Contacts: this filter lets you see a list of all contacts saved in your address book.
- Non-contacts: WhatsApp generates a list of all your unknown chats.
- Groups: WhatsApp will present a full list of all the groups you're part of and old group chats.
Be sure to update the app to the most recent update of WhatsApp beta UWP by opening the Microsoft Store.
