After introducing a bug fix update that addresses a crash when playing videos within your chats and status by releasing to the WhatsApp beta for iOS 126.96.36.199 update, WhatsApp is now rolling out another update that includes a useful feature for users who struggle to navigate through the app settings. In particular, after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 188.8.131.52 update from the TestFlight app, some beta testers can now filter the app settings thanks to a new search bar within the settings section:
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is introducing a search bar within the app settings section. This feature is designed to help users easily navigate through the app settings by allowing them to search for specific settings instead of having to scroll through the list. The search bar appears at the top of the settings page, and users can simply type in the search bar what they are looking for, and the app will finally display the matching results.
One of the advantages of having a search bar within the app settings is that it will definitely save time and effort for users. In addition, this feature is particularly useful for those who are not familiar with the app settings, for those who frequently change their settings, or users with disabilities that can easily find what they are looking for.
The ability to filter settings by using the search bar is available to some beta testers that install the latest beta version of the app, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
