CHAT FILTERS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.73 update, we announced that WhatsApp was working on a feature to filter their conversations. This enhancement would have allowed users to quickly identify and access specific types of conversations based on their preferences, improving the user experience. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.25.10.76 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that some beta testers can now experiment with this feature!

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is introducing a fresh filter row to provide users with new actions to filter their conversations, offering them enhanced functionality for better managing their conversations. Specifically, they are introducing a filter to retrieve a list of unread chats, making it easier for users to prioritize and respond to unread messages promptly. Users also have the option to filter their chats exclusively to display those from their contacts, further enhancing the customization and organization of their messaging experience. In addition, the most important filter allows users to get a list of their group chats, bringing a more targeted approach to managing and engaging with their group conversations.
In our opinion, this update reflects WhatsApp's commitment to refining user interactions, offering users substantial control over their conversations. In particular, one notable advantage is the enhanced efficiency in retrieving the list of group chats. We believe that the group chat filter definitely improves the process of locating and accessing these conversations, providing users with a dedicated and organized space for their group interactions.
The feature to filter chats is available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and it is rolling out to more people over the coming weeks.
