DISCOVER STICKER PACK
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.6.5 update, we announced that WhatsApp was rolling out a sticker creation feature. Through this feature, users can easily create new stickers right within WhatsApp, without the need of using a third-party app. It appears that WhatsApp is also committed to ensuring all users are aware of the availability of downloadable sticker packs from the official store to expand their collection. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.9.18 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a sticker pack discovery feature!
As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can currently experiment with a feature to get suggestions regarding new sticker packs directly within the sticker picker. These sticker packs are normally available on the official WhatsApp store, but WhatsApp is now providing users with a dedicated shortcut to discover them without opening the store. Users might receive up to 32 suggested sticker packs, based on their relevance or recent additions to the store. It is worth noting that downloadable sticker packs are marked with a plus symbol over the pack icon to make it easier for users to distinguish them from packs they have already downloaded.
In our opinion, offering suggestions to discover and download sticker packs directly within the sticker picker might enhance user convenience, as it eliminates the need to navigate through the app and open the store for new packs. This approach helps users save time and effort, allowing them to access a diverse range of new sticker packs quickly. In addition, we believe that this shortcut conveniently displayed within the sticker picker might also improve user engagement with sticker sharing, as it might convince more people to try these sticker packs, increasing the overall sticker sharing experience.
