MESSAGE DRAFT
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.18.10.72 update, we announced that WhatsApp was rolling out a message draft feature. This new feature allows users to see incomplete messages directly from the chats list, making it easier to manage unsent drafts. Previously available only on the desktop app, this feature helped users quickly identify conversations containing unfinished messages through a new draft label. It appears that WhatsApp now intends to offer Android users the same opportunity to view drafts from the chats list as it already does for the iOS version. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.20.24 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a message draft feature for the chats list!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can finally explore a feature to conveniently view and manage their draft messages from the chats list. This means users no longer need to open each chat individually to check if they have left any messages unfinished. If the feature is enabled for your account, you will notice a draft label displayed next to the message text of any chat that contains an incomplete message. To find out if the feature is available on your account, type a message in any conversation without sending it, then return to the chats list to see if the draft label appears next to the chat message.
This feature is particularly useful as it allows users to keep track of conversations that have been left incomplete without needing to open each chat individually. Previously, users had to manually check each conversation to see if they had left any messages unfinished, which could be a very inefficient process. With the introduction of the draft label, any chat containing an incomplete message is marked directly in the chat list, making it easier for users to identify them.
A message draft feature for the chats list is available to some beta testers who install the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
