MESSAGE DRAFT
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.18.10.72 update, we announced a new message draft feature. This new functionality allows users to see incomplete messages directly from the chats list. This makes it easier for users to manage unsent drafts. This feature already helps users on the desktop app identify conversations that contain unfinished messages through a new draft label. But now, WhatsApp intends to offer Android users the same opportunity to view drafts from the chats list. This would extend the functionality beyond the iOS and Desktop apps. With the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.20.24 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a message draft feature for the chats list.

As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can finally explore a feature to view and manage their draft messages from the chats list. This means users no longer need to open their chats to check if they have left any messages unfinished. If the feature is enabled for your account, you will notice a draft label displayed next to the message text of any chat that contains an incomplete message. To find out if the feature is available on your account, just type a message in any conversation without sending it. Then, return to the chats list to see if the draft label appears next to the chat message.
This feature is particularly useful to keep track of conversations that users may have been left incomplete without opening their chats. Previously, users had to manually check their conversations to see if they had left any messages unfinished. This process was very inefficient and time consuming. With the introduction of the draft label, any chat that contain an incomplete message is now marked directly in the chat list, making it easier for users to identify them.
A message draft feature for the chats list is available to some beta testers who install the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
