4 months ago, WhatsApp has released the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.23.14 update, bringing the ability to choose who can see your information with granular precision. The feature has been rolled out to some beta testers and, unfortunately, it was only available to very few people, but there is news today:
Yesterday, WhatsApp has rolled out the new voice note player when switching to a different conversation to more beta testers, and it is happening the same for "My contacts except..." for last seen, about, and profile photo.
If you see this new option in your Privacy Settings, you can choose to exclude some people from seeing your information. Note that, when you exclude some contacts from seeing your last seen, you won't be able to see their last seen. This rule does not apply to your about and profile photo.
