WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.4.5: what's new?

WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.4.5.
What's new in this update? It brings news about the availability of group invite links!

Three months ago, we have explained that WhatsApp is able to end certain WhatsApp groups when they violate their Terms of Service. This does not mean that WhatsApp is able to see the content of the group, since messages and group calls are end-to-end encrypted, but WhatsApp may end groups when they receive multiple reports from different users. In the past, we have also explained that WhatsApp may end groups when there is suspicious information, such as illegal group names and descriptions by using an advanced machine learning technology.
When a WhatsApp group is ended, nobody can send messages in the group, and obviously nobody can join the group, so the group invite is not available in this case:

Since the group has been ended, the group invite link is not available, as shown in this screenshot. The group invite link may go back to being available if the group has been ended by mistake: in this case, you can contact WhatsApp Support to ask for double-checking the reports. WhatsApp won't disclose the nature of the reports to respect the user privacy, but if the group has been ended by mistake, they can restore it and the group invite link can be used to join the group again.
