WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.19: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.19.19.

PHONE NUMBER VISIBILITY
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.18.12 update, we shared important details about a new feature under development: the phone number visibility. Thanks to this feature, certain businesses won't be able to see your phone number when you reach them via Click to WhatsApp ad, in some cases. When you chat with a certain business that doesn't know your phone number, there will be a feature that lets you manually share your phone number with them, if you want.
In the latest beta version, we discovered that more information will be available within business info in the future:
As you can see in this screenshot, it will be possible to check if the business can see your phone number within the business info. If the business cannot see your phone number, you will be able to share it with them in this section of the app.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available because it is under development and as we said above, it will be limited to certain businesses. Also, WhatsApp will also let people use this feature to hide their phone numbers from other members of sub-groups of communities they are part of, in the future.
