SELECT CHATS - DEFAULT MESSAGE TIMER
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.11.11 update, we posted news for the default message timer. You probably already know that thanks to the default message timer, new chats are automatically set as disappearing threads when you send or receive the first message. Today, WhatsApp is releasing a new shortcut within the default message timer settings to some beta testers that have installed the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.8 update:
As you can see in this screenshot, it is finally possible to apply a message timer to multiple chats at once. This feature has been implemented right within the default message timer settings (you can find an entry point for the feature within your privacy settings) and it helps users quickly convert some chats to disappearing threads. In fact, when you apply a message timer to some chats by using this feature, all new messages in these chats will be set to disappear.
WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to apply a default message timer to multiple chats to some beta testers, and another update is planned to be released in the future for those people that don't have this feature in this update.
