WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.20.152.
What’s new in this update? Discover all details below!
- The Multi Device feature is not available yet.
- This feature is currently under development: it means that WhatsApp is working in order to make it bug-free and there isn’t any release date available.
- If you don’t see the update on the Play Store, please be patient until Google will roll out for you (probably according to WhatsApp preferences).
We have recently talked (in particular in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.20.143 update) about the possibility to use your WhatsApp account on a second device.
The feature is under development but we have seen that WhatsApp will recommend to use a Wi-Fi connection to log in on a new device:
We don’t know yet why WhatsApp recommends to use a Wi-Fi connection, but it’s likely that it will copy your chat history on the new device. There is nothing certain, it is just our assumption and when WhatsApp will give more details we are going to post something about.
Today we present their new Linked Devices screen:
Note that it actually doesn’t mention that you can connect another phone to your WhatsApp account, but this will be probably updated in future. Seen that this is a feature under development, things are usually going to change before the release.
The feature is not available yet, there isn’t a release date and it will be enabled in a future update.
