ARCHIVED CHATS FILTER

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.25.10.76 update, we announced that WhatsApp was releasing a feature to allow users to filter their chats. Thanks to this feature, users can finally categorize their chats, making it easier to locate and prioritize their conversations. Instead, with the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.14.1.75 update, users could explore a clearer interface thanks to the removal of the two entry points associated with broadcast lists and new groups. We think that it's possible to further improve this interface by introducing changes to the way users access to their archived chats.

Our concept introduces a new filter to allow users to quickly view the list of their archived chats without opening a separate section. This enhancement would allow WhatsApp to remove the archived chats row, streamlining the overall interface of the chats list and offering users a more intuitive way to access their archived conversations. With our proposed filter, users would toggle between their active chats and archived ones, eliminating the need for a dedicated row for archived conversations.

In our opinion, this minor modification not only optimizes the layout but also contributes to a cleaner and more user-friendly design. The new filter would integrate into the existing chat list, providing users with a consolidated view of both current and archived conversations. We think that this approach would also align with WhatsApp's commitment to simplicity and efficiency in the user interface of the app.

Please note that the feature described in this concept is not currently available on WhatsApp. While this is simply a concept at this time, we hope that it will be considered for implementation in a future update of the app. We believe that this feature would be a significant step forward in improving the interface on WhatsApp, and it would be a valuable asset to the user experience. If we receive any updates or information about the possibility of this feature being implemented, we will make sure to share it through additional articles on our website. We hope that you enjoyed learning about our concept and we will appreciate your feedback.
