QUESTIONS FOR CHANNELS AND STATUS

  1. In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.20.10.73 update, we announced that WhatsApp is developing a feature that lets channel owners post questions and gather responses directly from followers. Through a new "Questions" option in the chat attachment menu, channel admins will be able to post a question. They will also be able to view and manage all replies privately within the specific update, with the option to delete the question and its responses permanently if needed.
  2. The same feature regarding channel questions is also under development in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.21.4 update. This interactive tool differs from polls by allowing free-form responses, which admins can easily review and analyze in one place. The feature aims to boost engagement and help channel owners tailor content or plans based on genuine follower input while keeping responses confidential from other users.
  3. Following the release of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.21.8 update, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature that lets users add a single question box to their status updates. The original poster will be able to view all responses privately and choose to share answers anonymously back to their status. This feature mirrors Instagram's popular question sticker, aiming to boost user interaction and engagement on WhatsApp.

  1. The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.21.11 update introduces Status Ads and Promoted Channels, placing sponsored content within the Updates tab without affecting private chats or calls. Status Ads appear between regular status updates and can be easily skipped or blocked by users, while Promoted Channels help public channels gain visibility in the directory with clear sponsorship labels. Users gain control through an Activity Report feature that tracks all ads seen, allowing them to block or restore advertisers and download ad history for offline review. WhatsApp maintains strict privacy by keeping personal messages end-to-end encrypted and separate from ads, using only limited, non-private data for ad targeting without sharing phone numbers or private content with advertisers.
  2. With the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.21.12 update, WhatsApp is developing a Quick Recap feature that uses Meta AI to generate detailed summaries of unread messages from up to five selected conversations. This feature will help users catch up efficiently without scrolling through long threads. This process happens securely via Private Processing, ensuring message content remains encrypted and inaccessible to WhatsApp or Meta, preserving end-to-end privacy.
  3. With the WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.20.10.74 update, some beta testers can open the official support chat directly without first typing a question or attaching screenshots. As always, this support chat is verified and secure, initially providing AI-powered responses for common issues, but users can request to speak with a human agent if needed. The feature can be accessed via the app's Help Center, and users can also reach support by email if preferred.
