WhatsApp is working on detailed reaction info for albums!
After releasing the ability to react to messages on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop, WhatsApp is now developing a feature that lets people view detailed reaction info for automatic albums.

DETAILED REACTION INFO
While we're waiting for the update that lets us react to messages by using any emoji, WhatsApp is now working on another different feature for reactions. At the moment, when someone reacts to a photo or video in an automatic album, it is not possible to view which media has been reacted to without opening the album: the next feature will let people exactly do it!
This screenshot shows the difference between the current version and the one released in a future update. While we don't know which media received a reaction in an automatic album without opening it, WhatsApp will let us view detailed reaction info by showing a media thumbnail in the future.
Note that, even if the screenshot has been taken on WhatsApp beta for iOS, the same feature will also be released on WhatsApp beta for Android and Desktop, and we will publish more information at a later date.
Unfortunately, this feature is under development so we do not know when it will be released. There will surely be another article when WhatsApp is releasing the feature to users in the future.
