WhatsApp is working on a communities tab on Desktop
After announcing the news about managing the phone number visibility for sub-groups of a community on WhatsApp beta for Android, WhatsApp is now working on a communities tab on WhatsApp Desktop beta.

COMMUNITIES
After sharing his vision for WhatsApp Communities, Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp didn't announce further details about the development of the feature, but we're still looking into it to provide you some information. In fact, we're discovered that WhatsApp is also planning to bring communities to the desktop app in a future update of the app!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is working on bringing a communities tab right within the chat list header on the web/desktop client. Thanks to this button, we will be able to open our communities home, a place where all our communities (and the ones we previously joined) show up. In addition, it will be possible to create a new community right within the communities home, in the future. Note that the same feature is also under development on WhatsApp beta for Android and WhatsApp beta for iOS.
Unfortunately, this feature is also under development on WhatsApp Desktop beta and it is not clear when WhatsApp plans to release it to users. As always, we will keep you up to date when we have further information to share with you.
