Last year, we announced that WhatsApp is working on communities, a new way to manage your WhatsApp groups by using admin tools on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS. Today, we can discover new information about a new exclusive tab where you can find all your communities in a future update of the app.

COMMUNITIES TAB
The latest news about Communities was about a new section where to list all your communities called Community Home, but no further information was available. What we know is that WhatsApp is planning to replace the camera tab with a new communities tab, that probably redirects to Community Home. Today, we can finally look into the new communities tab!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is working on bringing the communities tab into the iOS app as well, and it replaces the camera tab. When you open this tab and no communities are available, we can read an introduction for communities: a community brings related groups together, and all your communities or the ones you get added to will show up in this section. It's probably soon to say what a community will offer, but we know that a community also lets us reach everyone at once by sending messages to all their members if we are a community admin.
Even if the screenshot is taken from WhatsApp for iOS, we already know that WhatsApp is working on the community tab on Android, and probably there will be news for Android soon.
This feature is not available yet because it is under development, and it will be released in a future update of the app. For this reason, be sure to frequently visit this website to discover news, features, and which admin tools will be available for communities.
