WhatsApp is working on a blur tool for the media editor
After releasing new drawing tools on WhatsApp beta for Android, WhatsApp is now planning to develop a feature that lets people use a blur tool right within the media editor on a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta!

BLUR TOOL
Last year, we published an article where we listed which features were exclusive on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS. Among these, there was the blur tool, available on WhatsApp for iOS. The blur tool has also been added on WhatsApp beta for Android this year and it seems that WhatsApp is planning to introduce the drawing tool on the desktop client as well:
As you can see in this screenshot, there will be a new option that will let us quickly blur a part of the image without using third-party tools. Recently, WhatsApp has also introduced two other different tools to WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS, but we don't know if these are coming on desktop as well.
Unfortunately, since this feature is under development, we do not know when it will be released but, as always, we will keep you up to date when there is news.
