WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to view past group participants
WhatsApp keeps working on new features for groups on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop. After releasing larger groups up to 512 participants, WhatsApp is now rolling out the ability to view a list of past participants within our groups!

PAST PARTICIPANTS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.16.0.70 update, we posted some information about the ability to view past participants within our groups thanks to a new option visible within group info. WhatsApp is exactly releasing this feature to some beta testers that install the latest beta version of WhatsApp from TestFlight!
As you can see in this screenshot, there is a new option at the end of the list of group participants that lets us discover people who left or were removed in the last 60 days. This section is visible to all participants that have the feature enabled for their accounts: it means that this is not limited to group admins but everyone can open the past participants section.
But it is not all: it is true that people who left or were removed from the group are listed in this section, but this event is no longer visible within the chat (except for group admins because of moderation reasons).
This feature has been released to some beta testers today, and more activations will be following over the coming weeks.
