POLLS
Exactly one month ago, we posted an article about new features released to some users after installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2242.0.0 update: shortcuts, online status, and polls. In the same article, we explained that it was not possible to create polls but you could at least view and vote for polls created by other group participants. Finally, WhatsApp is releasing the ability to create polls to some beta testers!
If you want to create a poll, you need to click the attach icon placed next to the chat bar: a poll shortcut will show up and it opens the view shown in this screenshot. As happens on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop, you can add up to 12 options to the poll and it is always end-to-end encrypted so only other people in the same conversation can read and reply to it. Note that this feature is available for both individual and group chats.
