RICH LINK PREVIEW
After rolling out the ability to generate rich link previews for status updates to some beta testers on iOS and Android, and a small test by releasing the feature to some lucky people that use stable releases on the App Store, there is finally news for everyone. A few hours ago, after releasing the WhatsApp for iOS 22.22.75 update on the App Store, we discovered from the official changelog that the feature that generates rich link previews for status updates has been widely rolled out to users!
As mentioned in the official changelog, you can now see link previews for links shared via Status Updates. The best way to discover if the feature is already enabled for your account is to publish a text status update by adding a URL, for example, https://wabetainfo.com.
As always, even if WhatsApp is releasing this feature to everyone, there may be some accounts that will receive this feature over the coming weeks as mentioned at the end of the official changelog: just keep your version of WhatsApp up to date so you can get the feature later if it is still not enabled for your account.
The ability to generate rich link previews for links shared to your status update is finally available for more iOS users so be sure to update the app from the App Store to check if the feature is already enabled for your WhatsApp account.
