Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.2.10.70 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to add and manage multiple accounts within the app!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring the implementation of a feature that allows users to log into different accounts using a single app, scheduled for release in a future update. This new feature will especially be useful for people who use WhatsApp with multiple phone numbers, whether for personal, professional, or other purposes. Many users currently rely on WhatsApp Business to manage a second phone number, even if they are not representing a business. This is considered as a practical solution for those who needed separate accounts but don't want to switch to a different device. With the upcoming update, users will be able to add additional accounts directly through the app settings, making it easier to manage multiple accounts without the need to rely on any workarounds.

Users will be able to choose between two options when adding a new account to their app. They can either set up the device as a primary account by starting fresh or scan a QR code to link the new account as a companion. This flexibility makes it easier than ever to switch between accounts, since both options cater to different user needs and scenarios. Whether starting from scratch or linking an existing account, users will seamlessly be able to transition without the need for separate installations or different devices.

This feature will help users keep all their conversations organized in a single app while maintaining separation between different accounts. Notifications, chats, backups, and settings will remain distinct for each account, as each account will operate independently within the app. This will also benefit accessibility for users with dual SIM devices. Instead of assigning one SIM card to WhatsApp and another to WhatsApp Business, they will be able to use the primary app to manage both numbers at the same time in the future.
