Although this feature is still in development on the Android app, WhatsApp appears to be actively refining the ability to control which channel content to show ahead of its official beta release, aiming to provide users with a more optimized experience from the outset. Following the release of the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.19.10.75 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on feature that allows users to filter subscriber updates in channels!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring the implementation of a feature that lets users toggle between all updates and subscriber-only content, scheduled for release in a future update. Once a user subscribes to a channel, a new filter icon will appear in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. This icon will allow users to switch views and display only the content categorized as "Subscriber Updates". With just one tap, subscribers will be able to filter out the general updates and focus on the premium content meant specifically for them.

This filtering option will add a new layer of convenience to the user experience, especially for those who follow multiple channels or receive frequent updates. Instead of scrolling through a long list of mixed updates, users will be able to immediately access a dedicated list of exclusive posts. This saves time and provides a clearer overview of the value delivered through the subscription. Additionally, this feature will help subscribers better understand how active a channel is in terms of delivering premium content. By viewing only subscriber updates, users can evaluate the frequency and quality of exclusive posts, helping them decide whether to continue or cancel their subscription.
