NEW COMMUNITIES TAB INTERFACE
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.24.14 update, we announced that a redesigned interface for the communities tab was available to some beta testers. This redesigned interface offers a cleaner and more user-friendly experience with a compact layout that minimizes the space each section occupies on the screen. As a result, users can view more communities at once, significantly reducing the need for excessive scrolling to locate a specific community or group chat. It appears that WhatsApp now intends to offer iOS users the same opportunity to explore a tweaked community interface as it already does for the Android version, aiming to provide a consistent experience across both platforms. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.1.10.76 update, which is available on TestFlight, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a redesigned interface for the communities tab!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can experiment with a new interface for the communities tab. Similarly to the Android version, the iOS update introduces a more streamlined layout, helping users easily navigate between communities and group chats. The new interface adopts a compact design that reduces the space occupied by each section, allowing more communities to be displayed on a single screen. This improvement minimizes scrolling and ensures that users can quickly find the community or group chat they are looking for. This focus on simplicity ensures that users can effortlessly interact with their community group chats, making their experience more intuitive and efficient.
Additionally, the updated iOS interface retains the feature that displays recent group chats within each community, offering a quick overview of the latest activity. To enhance navigation further, WhatsApp has added a dedicated button next to each community name, enabling users to access all group chats linked to a specific community with a single tap. The redesign addresses the issue of clutter by repositioning the button to view all group chats. Instead of occupying significant screen space, the button has been moved to the same row as the community name, making the layout cleaner and more intuitive.
A redesigned interface for the communities tab is available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and it's rolling out to more people over the coming weeks.
