DEFAULT CHAT THEMES
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.11.10.70 update, we announced that WhatsApp was working on a new default chat theme feature for a future update. This feature will introduce a significant enhancement for the chat interface, as it allows users to set a default chat theme of their choice. Although this feature is still in development, it appears that WhatsApp is committed to introducing additional themes to better cater to diverse user preferences, as discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.12.10.77 from the TestFlight app.

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring 5 additional default chat themes, scheduled for release in a future update of the app. In our previous article, we announced that WhatsApp was working on introducing 5 default chat themes, including the default green theme. We can now confirm that WhatsApp has plans to expand the initial set of 5 themes, which includes the default green theme, to a total of 10 themes. This expansion will offer users even more options to customize their messaging experience according to their personal preferences.
In our opinion, offering users more themes will enhance the user experience by allowing greater personalization and customization. By expanding the selection of themes, WhatsApp aims to cater to a broader range of aesthetic preferences. Users will be able to choose themes that resonate with their personal style. Each of these themes will feature distinct color schemes for both chat bubbles and wallpaper, providing users with a variety of options to enhance the visual aesthetics of their messaging experience. It is very important to note that these themes are personal. This means that the recipient won't be able to see the customized themes chosen by the sender, ensuring that each user's personalization choices remain private and do not affect the recipient's interface.
A feature to introduce additional default chat themes is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. We will keep you updated on any further developments about this feature until it's officially released.
