STICKER EDITOR
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.10.0.74 update, we announced a new feature under development: a sticker maker tool. With this feature, WhatsApp will make it even easier to create stickers right within WhatsApp, without the need to download third-party applications. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.1.10.72 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that this feature is finally available to some beta testers!

As you can see in the attached screenshot, the option to create your personalized sticker by choosing one from the conversation is available. In addition, there's an alternative access point to this feature via the sticker keyboard, where some beta testers have access to a new button enabling them to create a sticker. In such instances, WhatsApp initiates the drawing editor upon selecting a photo from the library, and the app automatically highlights the subject within the image. If the result doesn't meet your preference and you desire a different style, you can opt for an alternative sticker from the choices at the bottom of the screen.
It's worth noting that it's also possible to edit existing stickers by selecting the "Edit sticker" action, expanding the flexibility and customization options for users and enabling them to express themselves creatively and better in their conversations. In addition, users can create stickers from shared images by selecting the share action. It's important to note that WhatsApp already introduced a feature to convert images to stickers in the past. However, these images couldn't be edited right within WhatsApp, and a feature to convert images within the conversation to stickers directly from the application was unavailable. Introducing a feature to create stickers within WhatsApp, along with a tool to remove background during sticker editing, offers users the advantage to quickly create and edit stickers effortlessly without using third-party tools.
The new sticker maker tool is available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and it's rolling out to more people over the coming weeks.
