WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 23.6.0.71. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.23.6.71 and the TestFlight build is 23.6.0 (458060608).

TWEAKED LINK PREVIEW INTERFACE
The latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.6.0.71 update is now available on the TestFlight app. Similar to the first 23.5.0 build, the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.5.0.70 update, this version also includes general improvements and bug fixes, such as the fix for those users that were unable to restore their chat history from iCloud, that was addressed in the WhatsApp for iOS 23.5.78 update. In addition, this new beta build offers some beta testers an enhanced experience when entering links within the chat bar:
As you can see in this screenshot, a new row appears above the chat bar whenever a link is entered into WhatsApp, and the application animates the row while loading the link preview. Previously, users had no indication of whether WhatsApp was loading the preview or not and this definitely led to confusion and wasted time as users waited for the preview to appear. However, thanks to the improved link preview interface, WhatsApp makes it clear when the preview is loading and when it is available so users no longer need to wait unnecessarily for the preview to load in case it is not available.
The tweaked interface when loading a link preview is available for some beta testers that install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
