WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 23.25.10.72. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.23.25.72 and the TestFlight build is 23.25.10 (543819589).

SHARE MUSIC AUDIO
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.12.0.74 update, we announced a screen-sharing feature for video calls, which marks a significant advancement in enhancing the user experience and calling capabilities. WhatsApp is dedicated to enhancing their features by continually refining and improving them with new improvements. Specifically, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.25.10.72 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on some improvements for this feature, planned to be released in a future update of the app!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is working on a new feature to allow everyone in the call to listen to video and music audio together when someone shares their screen. With this feature enabled, audio played on a device will also be shared with other people in the call, creating a more immersive and shared audio-visual experience. It's worth noting that while this feature enriches the video call experience, it is not compatible with voice calls or during video calls with video disabled.
In our opinion, the ability to share video and music audio in real-time during a screen-sharing session adds a dynamic layer to video calls, making virtual gatherings definitely more interactive. Whether it's enjoying a shared playlist, watching a video together, or collaborating on a multimedia project, this feature will enhance the sense of connection among participants during a video call with the screen-share option is available.
