FORWARD MEDIA WITH CAPTION

Last week, WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.15 was released on the Play Store and it offers some beta testers the ability to forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents, by including their caption. This feature has been discovered during the development of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.5 update and it has been released to some beta users after 1 week. Finally, we also have news for iOS users: in fact, after installing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.23.0.72 update from the TestFlight app, some beta testers can finally include the caption when forwarding media!

As you can see in this screenshot, it is really easy to discover if the feature is already available for your WhatsApp account: just try forwarding an image with a caption and if you see a new view at the bottom of the screen, it means you can start forwarding media with their caption! In this example, we tried to forward an image with a caption but the feature is also compatible with videos, GIFs, and documents.

You have always control over what you decide to forward: in case you don’t want to include the caption when forwarding the media, you can quickly remove it by tapping the dismiss button within the forwarded message view. In case you don’t have this feature enabled for your account, please wait for a future update that will let more users get this feature.

The ability to forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents by including their caption has been released to some beta testers after installing the latest beta update from the TestFlight app and it is rolling out to more users over the coming weeks.
