WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.16.0.75: what's new?
WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.16.0.75. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.22.16.75.
What's new in this update? WhatsApp is working on a reaction preview within the chat list, for a future update of the app!

REACTION PREVIEW
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.6 update, we shared news about a new feature for reactions: the reaction preview. Thanks to the reaction preview, when you receive a message you won't need to open a chat where a reaction has been received since it immediately shows up right within the chat list. The feature has already been released to some users on WhatsApp beta for Android, but it is under development on iOS. However, it looks exactly like the preview implemented on WhatsApp beta for Android two weeks ago:
As you can see in this screenshot, when the feature will be released in a future update, a text preview shows up when you receive a reaction from your chats and groups. In fact, in this case, we received a reaction to a message by using the green heart emoji and a text preview showed up in the chat list. Unfortunately, there is no way for all users to disable the reaction preview when it will be released, even if they disable “reaction notifications” within WhatsApp Settings > Notifications.
This feature is under development. We believe it is a test so it is not confirmed it will be really released to users in a future update, but we will keep you up to date.
