It seems that WhatsApp is interested in implementing more features for Meta AI, aiming to improve user convenience further through new AI-powered tools. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.9.14 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to create message reminders using the Meta AI chatbot!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring the implementation of a feature that will allow users to set up automated tasks for Meta AI, scheduled for release in a future update. These tasks will make interactions with the chatbot more seamless by enabling Meta AI to send scheduled messages based on user requests. For example, a user could ask Meta AI to remind them to pick up groceries at 5 PM, to send a daily fitness motivation message every morning, or to notify them when their favorite TV show releases a new episode.

Users will be able to create tasks directly within the chat by simply sending a well-structured prompt to Meta AI, making the process both seamless and efficient. This functionality ensures that setting up reminders or scheduling automated messages is quick and intuitive, eliminating the need to manually search for a specific option within the interface of the app. In addition, WhatsApp will integrate a dedicated task management system within the chatbot's information section, giving users direct access to all their scheduled tasks. Through this interface, users will be able to view a complete list of their active tasks, including the ability to modify existing ones to better suit their changing needs. If a task is no longer required or becomes intrusive, users will be able to effortlessly delete it at any time, as WhatsApp provides a simple and accessible way to manage tasks directly within the chatbot info screen.

The ability to remove unwanted tasks ensures that users maintain full control over their notifications and messages from Meta AI. This flexibility prevents unnecessary notifications while still providing a useful automation tool for everyday activities. By allowing Meta AI to handle simple tasks such as sending reminders, tracking important dates, or notifying users about specific updates, WhatsApp aims to help streamline daily planning. Instead of relying on third-party apps for scheduling, users will be able to manage everything directly within their chats, making the experience with the chatbot more useful.
