It appears that WhatsApp is now testing this feature with the public, as some beta testers have reported seeing a new option to create custom sticker packs. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.4.18 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a feature to create and share custom sticker packs!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can explore a new feature that allows them to create new sticker packs directly from a sticker they interact with in a chat. By tapping on a sticker, a new option becomes available to add it to a new sticker pack or an existing one they have already created. Once users decide to add a sticker to a new pack, they can assign a name to their sticker pack and include the first sticker. This option provides a simple efficient way to start building personalized sticker collections without having to rely on third-party apps.

For even more convenience, WhatsApp allows users to add multiple stickers to a pack in bulk. By pressing the dedicated button on the sticker keyboard to manage stickers in bulk, introduced with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.16.9 update, users can select and add several stickers at once, saving them time and effort. This bulk add option makes the process of creating sticker packs faster for those who have a large number of stickers they want to organize.

After creating a sticker pack, it will automatically be added to the personal collection, where they can manage it, add new stickers, or remove any stickers as they wish. Users can keep their sticker packs up to date by regularly adding new stickers, making it easier to maintain an organized and personalized collection. It is worth noting that users can rename their sticker packs at any time. This is especially useful if they decide to change the theme or organization of their packs after they've been created, or if they realize there's a mistake in the name or description of the pack that they want to correct for clarity and accuracy.

This feature also offers the ability to share custom sticker packs with others. Once a user has created a sticker pack, they can share it with their contacts, groups, and channels, making it easier for others to import the pack into their own collections. Previously, users had to manually send individual stickers or rely on third-party apps to share their custom sticker collections, which may be considered a less efficient process. With this feature, the recipients will be able to add the entire shared pack with just two taps, eliminating the need to manually save each sticker as a favorite. Additionally, sharing a sticker pack is completely private, as no user information is attached to the pack. Even if the sticker pack is shared further, no one will be able to see who created it or view the phone number of the original user.

A feature to create and share custom sticker packs is available to some beta testers who install the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming weeks.
