In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.25.15 update, we announced a feature to allow users to hide the Meta AI shortcut. With this enhancement, WhatsApp aimed to offer users greater control over the app interface, allowing them to manage the visibility of the Meta AI shortcut within the top app bar. It appears that WhatsApp is also exploring other different ways to enhance user interaction with Meta AI, even without the need to have the shortcut promptly visible at the top of the interface. Specifically, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.7.14 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to ask queries to Meta AI!
As you can see in the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a feature that would allow users to enter their queries directly within the search bar, eliminating the need to manually open a conversation with Meta AI. In addition, WhatsApp will suggest some prompts to get users started with their queries, enhancing the interaction process. By typing their questions or commands into the search bar, users will be able to quickly initiate conversations with Meta AI without searching for its chat, enhancing the process of accessing AI-powered assistance in the future.
In our opinion, the integration of Meta AI queries into the search bar represents a significant enhancement to the user experience in terms of efficiency. With the ability to initiate conversations with Meta AI directly from the search bar, users can quickly obtain information, seek assistance, or perform tasks. This approach not only saves time since users do not need to open the Meta AI chat directly, but also enhances convenience, making it easier than ever for users to access the capabilities of Meta AI. We also believe that integrating Meta AI queries into the search bar offers enhanced accessibility. By making Meta AI more readily available within the search interface, users will be able to easily leverage its capabilities to address their needs and queries with ease and immediacy, enhancing the overall utility and accessibility of the app.
