STICKER EDITOR
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.1.10.72 update, we announced that WhatsApp was rolling out a sticker editor. This feature was designed to allow users to easily create stickers right within WhatsApp, without the need to download third-party applications. Although the sticker editor feature was already released for the iOS app, Android users were unable to access it at that time due to its unavailability on their platform. Finally, after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.6.5 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a new sticker editor feature to some beta testers!

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is introducing a tool designed to create stickers from images. It is possible to easily convert a sticker from an image by either accessing the sticker keyboard and selecting the "create" option or by directly opening the image, accessing the overflow menu, and choosing the "create sticker" option. In addition, it is possible to edit an existing sticker by selecting the "edit sticker" option. When a photo is selected, WhatsApp automatically opens the drawing editor, highlighting the subject within the image. If the result doesn't align with your preferences and you seek a different style, alternative stickers are available from the choices at the bottom of the screen.
We believe that WhatsApp provides a highly sticker personalized experience by allowing users to create stickers from their images. Users can express themselves more uniquely and creatively by turning their photos into stickers, without having to navigate to external sources or download additional apps. With the introduction of the sticker editor feature, WhatsApp significantly enhances convenience while saving users valuable time and effort. Additionally, the ability to edit existing stickers further enhances flexibility, ensuring that users can create stickers to perfectly suit their needs.
The feature to create stickers right within WhatsApp is available to some beta testers that install the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming weeks.
