PIN MULTIPLE MESSAGES
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.26.9 update, we announced that WhatsApp was working on a feature to pin multiple messages. With this enhancement, WhatsApp aimed to provide users with greater control over their messages, allowing them to pin more than one message at a time. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.6.15 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a feature to pin up to three messages!
As you can see in this screenshot, some beta testers now have the opportunity to explore a new interface designed to facilitate navigation through the list of pinned messages. At the moment, it is possible to pin up to three messages. When users attempt to pin a fourth message, WhatsApp automatically removes the oldest message from the pinned messages list. This behavior is enforced to maintain the limit of three pinned messages per chat, but WhatsApp may consider expanding this limit in the future in response to user behavior and feedback.
In our opinion, WhatsApp now provides a more flexible way to organize important information within a chat by allowing users to pin multiple messages. Users can now prioritize multiple content, such as important announcements, key reminders, or frequently referenced information, by pinning them at the top of the chat interface. This enhances the overall organization of conversations, making it easier for users to quickly access the most relevant content without having to scroll through the entire chat history multiple times.
It is worth noting that users were previously restricted to pinning only one message at a time in a chat. This limitation meant that if a user wanted to pin a new message, they had to first unpin the existing one. This process of unpinning a message before pinning a new one could lead to the loss of reference to the previously pinned message within the chat. Thanks to the latest update, users can now pin multiple messages without losing the reference to important information that was previously pinned.
The feature to pin multiple messages is available to some beta testers that install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming weeks.
