As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a new option to allow users to choose whether their photos and videos should be sent in high quality by default, and it will be available in a future update. In addition, when users decide to manually adjust the media quality within the drawing editor, WhatsApp will retain the last choice by automatically selecting the previous setting for future sharing instances. It's important to note that users still need to send the media as a document in case they decide to share it in original quality, as announced in the article regarding the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.19.3 update.

In our opinion, this feature will mark a significant step forward in enhancing the user experience, as it eliminates the need of manually adjusting settings for each media upload individually. With this new option, users will be able ensure that their images and videos are always shared in high quality, maintaining clarity and preserving important details. When this feature will be released in the future, this approach also adds a layer of convenience, allowing users to focus on their conversations rather than adjusting settings repeatedly.

The feature to manage media upload quality is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. We plan to publish a new article when we have further details about this feature to share with you.
