AUTOMATIC ACCOUNT REPORT
In 2018, WhatsApp released an option to allow users to request a report containing specific account information in compliance with GDPR regulations. According to recent developments, it appears that WhatsApp is currently exploring the possibility of automating this process. Specifically, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.3.30 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to automatically create account reports!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is now in the process of developing a new feature designed to automatically create reports for both accounts and channels, for a future update of the app. If users choose to enable this feature, WhatsApp will automatically generate a monthly report, offering information about account and channel activity.
In our opinion, allowing users to automatically generate account and channels reports every month adds a layer of convenience to this feature. Users won't have to remember or manually initiate the process each time they want an update on their account and channel activities. This automated feature ensures timely delivery of relevant information without any user intervention, saving time and effort. In addition, users will be easily able to track changes in their account information by comparing the monthly reports generated for their account. In fact, the new report may include data not available in the previous report, providing users with the most updated version of their account information. As a result, this feature appears to be especially beneficial, offering users an efficient way to always stay informed about the latest details related to their account.
The feature to automatically create account reports is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. We have plans to publish an additional article when we have new information regarding this feature to share with you.
