LISTS FOR CONTACTS AND GROUP CHATS

This feature would have allowed users to enhance the process of organizing their contacts and groups by introducing a shortcut within the chat info screen. It appears that WhatsApp is focused on improving this feature before the official release, aiming to further enhance the process of adding contacts and groups to lists. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.21.35 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to add contacts and group chats to lists through a new shortcut!
As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a new shortcut that allows users to quickly add contacts and group chats to lists, scheduled for release in a future update. While we previously announced a shortcut to add people and groups to lists directly from the chat info screen, WhatsApp has also plans to introduce the same shortcut within the top app bar in conversations. This makes it even easier for users to manage and organize their contacts and groups, as the shortcut will be more accessible and integrated directly into their ongoing chats.
It's important to note that this new shortcut is still under development and not yet confirmed for release, as WhatsApp is carefully evaluating the best placement to allow users to quickly manage their contacts and groups through lists. This means that it's likely we won't see both shortcuts in the final version when the feature is released, as WhatsApp may opt to remove one to reduce redundancy.
