As you can see from the attached screenshot, some beta testers can now explore a feature that allows them to quickly create call links directly from the chat interface. The new call link shortcut is located within the chat attachment sheet, which users can access by tapping the attachment icon in the chat bar. Previously, we reported that this feature was being tested exclusively for group chats, but it is now available for individual chats as well, offering users greater flexibility in generating call links with a single contact or a group.

This improvement significantly speeds up the process of creating a call link, as users no longer need to navigate to the Calls tab to generate one. By integrating the call link shortcut into the chat attachment menu, WhatsApp has made it more convenient for users to create and share call links directly from ongoing conversations. This reduces the number of steps required, making the process faster and more intuitive. In addition, WhatsApp has made the feature more visible to users by adding this shortcut directly within the chat attachment menu. Previously, many users might not have been aware of the ability to create call links, as the feature was only available within the Calls tab. Now that it's prominently located within the chat interface, users are more likely to discover and experiment with this feature. The increased visibility helps introduce the feature to a wider audience, including those who may not have been familiar with it in the past.

A call link feature within individual and group chats is available to some beta testers who install the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
