Although the voice chat mode is still in development, it appears that WhatsApp is dedicated to refining this feature further before its official release, focusing on enhancing the ability to choose a voice for Meta AI. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.19.32 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to choose the Meta AI voice modeled after public figures!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring the implementation of various voice options for Meta AI, scheduled for release in a future update of the app. There will be three different UK voices and two US voices, which vary in pitch and tone to cater to diverse preferences. Users will have the opportunity to select a voice for Meta AI that matches a certain pitch, regional accent, or personal taste, making the communication with the chatbot more personalized. In addition, there will be four voices from some familiar public figures, though the exact names have not yet been disclosed.

This selection allows users to choose a voice that resonates with them, whether they prefer a familiar accent or an inspiring voice associated with a well-known figure. For example, users who appreciate a British accent can opt for one of the UK voices, while those who prefer an American accent have two options to choose from. The inclusion of public figure voices can also make interactions with Meta AI more engaging and interesting, as users will be able to connect with voices they find familiar or inspiring. It's important to note that, since this feature is still under development, voices in languages other than English may not be available at launch. As the feature evolves and WhatsApp continues to refine it before the official release, there is potential for the inclusion of voices in additional languages to enhance accessibility and cater to a wider global audience in the future.
