This feature is designed to offer users an enhanced and personalized way to manage their contacts and interactions, making it easier to find and communicate with the people who matter most in the future. Although it is still in development, it seems that WhatsApp is committed to further improving this feature by introducing the ability to filter chats with greater control. As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a new feature that allows users to filter chats through lists, scheduled for release in a future update. After creating a list with people and group chats, WhatsApp will automatically generate a new custom filter at the top of the chats list, making it easier for users to quickly locate and access specific conversations. The filter will share the same name as the list, ensuring that users can immediately recognize and select the appropriate filter to view only the chats associated with that particular list. Users will be able to select a custom filter created by a list to view only the relevant chats, allowing them to focus on important discussions without distractions.

We believe that this feature can help users save time by reducing the need to scroll through long lists of conversations, especially for those who manage multiple chats. The combination of custom lists and filters will improve both organization and convenience, as users will be able to quickly access the most relevant chats with just a few taps. In addition to personal use, this feature will be particularly beneficial for businesses using the WhatsApp Business app. Businesses will be able to efficiently track new leads, ongoing transactions, and customer inquiries by categorizing customers and conversations into specific lists. The custom filters will enable businesses to monitor payments, follow up on orders, and provide timely customer support, all from within the app.

A feature to filter chats through custom lists is under development and it will be available in a future update. We will keep you updated with an additional article as soon as we have more details to share about this feature.
