Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.15.13 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a security checkup feature!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a new feature aimed at allowing users to quickly review their security settings, scheduled for release in a future update of the app. These settings help users protect their accounts by adding extra layers of security. Features suggested by the security checkup screen include the ability to set up a passkey, enabling users to log into WhatsApp with biometric data or a screen lock. Users can also add an email to their account, facilitating account recovery when they cannot receive the verification code via SMS. In addition, the security checkup recommends enabling two-step verification, which provides an extra layer of security through a personal 6-digit code.
